Hello! May I take this opportunity to welcome you to my little blog.My name is Rhiannon and I am a scientist, apparently. I never wear a lab coat though, and my hair is normally not too wild. In fact I’m more likely to be found in a nice skirt, hence the title of the blog. I’m studying my way towards a PhD at the University of East Anglia in the UK.
I love learning and finding out things, and then trying to explain things to other people. I think the world and how it works is fascinating and I like computers and coding and learning to run things from the command line. I’m pretty adventurous and try to make the most of any opportunity I have to go somewhere cool! Whether that is sailing on tall ships, skiing in Colorado or spending a month on Svalbard.
This blog is going to include several sorts of posts: Ones about being a PhD student in general, ones about my research in an attempt to explain it to the world (and myself) and ones about interesting things to do with my work and ones about my adventures!
Eventually there will be a CV and a page for useful code along with one for links to cool/useful/interesting things.
Note, all opinions are my own and nothing to do with the University.
