I know a few friends in the UK who, due to the US government shutdown can’t get access to data from satellites and models they need for their research. Let us spare a thought for our colleagues in the USA who have been sent home and actually can’t work, by law!
Also important field campaigns to the Antarctic to help our understanding of sea level rise, are being put in danger of not happening.
Science is international and collaborative guys! Data from these campaigns are important to teams all around the world, including in the UK. I hope they sort themselves out soon.
